Kurt Okraku appeals to Ghanaians to stop booing players

Ghana Football Association president, Kurt E S Okraku has condemned the recent culture of booing players during international duties. He argues that players who sacrifice for the nation through thick and thin should not be treated in that manner when things seem not to be going well.

He mentioned this after some supporters angrily booed Mukarama Abdulai of the black princesses when they fought from behind to beat Tanzania by two goals to one at the Cape Coast stadium. Mr Okraku also cited an incident where black star defender Abdul Baba Rahman was booed during a game at the Kumasi sports stadium later last year.

The FA capo has urged fans to reject this new culture being developed by a section of fans at the various stadiums and rather encourage them to support the nation in all spheres of their playing times with the national team.
