Member of parliament for Upper Denkyira East constituency , Hon. Dr. Festus Awuah kwoffie gives the general public an update on the Dunkwa lorry station which commenced months ago after a court injunction was lifted. The honorable member gives an insight on Denkyiraman Radio’s national Agenda with CJ stating that the work is going on well and productively as promised by the him, the law maker of Denkyira before his term of office.
The Dunkwa lorry park started months ago with the construction of drainage system by Dr. Festus Awuah kwoffie himself with his own finances.
Stage two of the construction is the molding of pavement blocks.
According to Dr. Festus Awuah he’s personally provided Four thousand (4,000) bags of cement for the molding of about 250,000 pavement blocks for the projects.
He also said he conveyed a technical team from Accra to oversee the project and make sure that every step of the way goes well. Hon.Dr. Festus Awuah declined all accusations made by the NDC about him and his colleague, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ebenezer Appiah Forson about hiding the truth from the public about the actual persons who started with the construction of the lorry station.
He stated,” I have achieved my dreams and aspirations in life, and I’m neither looking for a name nor fame. I do it for the face lift of Dunkwa”.He crowned it by stating his intentions during his next term, saying the current Kumasi station at Dunkwa on offin will see a face lift. He added that the existing community center would be replaced with a cultural center.
Dr. Festis Awuah Kwoffie as long assured residents in Dunkwa on offin that in the next two months, the population and health social center office will be commissioned. This he said would be the fourth biggest population and health social center office in Ghana.
