The Member of Parliament for the Upper Denkyira East Constituency, Dr. Festus Awuah Kwoffie, who also serves as Deputy Minister for Employment and Labour Relations, donated 30 floor tiles to meat sellers at the Zongo market in Dunkwa On-Offin.
The meat sellers had urgently requested tiles to tile the Abattoir space and expressed their gratitude after Dr. Festus handed over the tiles to them. They sang his praise and offered a prayer for him, appreciating his response to their plea.
They stated, “There have been changes in Members of Parliament, but Dr. Festus is the only leader who has heard our plea and addressed our needs. We pray that God grants him his heart’s desire and he will be voted into power.”
Dr Festus assured the meat sellers that work would commence immediately, as he promised to make arrangements for carpenters to install a new roof over the Zongo market, addressing their previous concern about leaks during rainfall.
During his visit, Dr. Awuah Kwoffie also took the opportunity to meet and greet all the market women, listening to their needs and promising them a better market structure.
