NASPA Disassociates from Strike Notice Issued by Concerned NSS Personnel Association

The National Service Personnel Association (NASPA)has disassociated Itself From a Strike notice issued by the Concerned National Service Scheme (NSS) Personnel Association Of Ghana (CONSPAG).

According to Mr. Gideon Osei, the NASPA President, the official body for National Service Personnel has not declared a Strike.

This follows a recent report that CONSPAG, has Initiated a
nationwide Strike on Wednesday, July 3 to Demand the payment of Overdue
Allowances.

Gideon Osei explains in an interview on Denkyiraman radio that the public should disregard the news as there hasn’t been such communique issued.

“There was an outstanding debt for 3 months which is from March to May to be paid to the service personnel.

However, we have met with management and an assurance of April allowance being paid come Friday, 5th June was given and that of May to be released in the coming week.

This was an important agreement and we can’t therefore go behind to strike after being assured”, he said.
