Central Regional Minister, Mrs. Marigold Assan made a detour to the Upper Denkyira East Municipality today, Tuesday 28th May after visiting the Upper Denkyira West District for the ongoing Dental Health Program.
Together with the Lawmaker Dr Festus Awuah Kwoffie and the Municipal Chief Executive ( MCE), Honourable Ebenezer Appiah Forson, they ensured a smooth health program in Dunkwa-On Offin.
The Healing Hands and Heart (H3) came through with their medical equipment to give the necessary dental care and recommendations for teeth treatment to the good people of Dunkwa On-Offin in the Central Region.
The Organization with its Dentists checked and cared for about 1,200 people, with most being children between 6 and 14 years old.
On her part the Central Regional Minister, Hon. Marigold Assan expressed her happiness towards the successful program, noting how expensive it is to get dental care. Therefore her happiness as to how the Member of Parliament for the Upper Denkyira East Constituency who doubles as deputy Minister for Employment, Labour Relations and Pension was thoughtful enough to bring the organization from aboard to treat his people.
“It’s not easy these days to get dental care because one should pay GHC 600 and above to be able to get treated. Also, not all parents get the time to check on their ward’s teeth as to what they look like and the wrongs going on there, neither do the parents themselves get time for routine checkups, hence the initiative. This is a great opportunity and I’m glad to have been a part of it,” she said.
Guardians who brought their wards for Oral care sang praises to the leaders while they shared their gratitude to them for such an awesome opportunity given to them.
Some Children who benefited from the program also expressed their thankful words as they shared experiences of their first time being given dental care.
