Lady Mart Foundation donates Hospital equipment, beds and mattresses to Dunkwa Government Hospital.

Lady Mart Foundation in collaboration with Denkyiraman Radio has launched the maiden edition of “Widow’s Mites’ new initiative to engage Widows and individuals in skill training.

Mr. Akwesi Agyeman, the CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority who doubles as Director for Denkyiraman Radio and also the son of Martha Owusu, whose brain and reason behind the Lady Mart Foundation expressed his gratitude to God for one year on to transition of his dear mother.

He explained that so long as Lady Mart’s “Widow’s Mites’ has come to stay, he’ll continue to ensure that his mother’s aim and aspiration will continue to manifest.

Hon. Ebenezer Appiah Forson, the Municipal Chief Executive for Upper Denkyira East graced the occasion with words of inspiration to the people present.
He advised that the youth especially take advantage of the fact that the training has been opened to all and learn something to help better their future.

The honourable Member promised all who’d partake in the training, a startup capital to set up themselves.

The Lady Mart’s foundation as part of the launch of the “Widow’s Mite” training program, donated 3 adjustable beds, Sanitary towels for Adults, pillows, a Centimeter catheter, a straight flush, tapers and various modernised medical equipment to the Dunkwa Municipal Hospital to help ease up the needs of the hospital.

The items were handed over to the hospital by Mrs Lucy Osei-Bempong (sofomaame) and received by the Medical Superintendent, Dr. Benjamin John Annan.

Dr.Benjamin Annan expressed gratitude to Lady Mart’s foundation for the items received, he appreciated the kind gesture and asked that other foundations come aboard to do the same.

As part of the donation, a representative from the West Africa Alumnae Chapter. (Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.) Annabel McKenzie helped with 100 packs of sanitary pads to support the sanitary hygiene purposes of the Boamponsem Senior High School girls students.

In conclusion, the launching program, Nana Hemaa Agyeman, wife of Mr. Akwesi Agyeman crowned it by educating the girls of Boamponsem Senior High School on personal hygiene.

“Try as much as possible to make do with the pads provided and make sure of taking shower as much as possible. Cleanliness is next to godliness, therefore keeping a clean body and environment will prevent one from certain sicknesses”, she advised.
