Assembly members of wasa amenfi central District in the western region Region have confirmed the President’s nominee Hon Alex Baidoo as District Chief Executive.
All the 34 assembly members present voted 100% for him.
Some assembly members who spoke twith denkyiraman radio. Com described Hon Alex Baidoo as a development-oriented person who can bring the needed development to the area.
They pledged to support Mr. Alex Baidoo to deliver government programmes and policies successfully.
The District Chief Executive Mr. Alex Baidoo thanked assembly members for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to operate an inclusive administration in carrying out his mandate.
“I wish to assure this assembly of my commitment and dedication to duty in order to build a strong foundation for wasa amenfi development. I, therefore, want to use this occasion to call for unity of purpose devoid of conflict that has bedeviled the operations of some assemblies.”
“I call on all assembly members to pull our challenges together to fight illiteracy, hunger, poverty and all that which dehumanizes our people to ensure that we attain the sustainable development goals.”

The westernRegional minister Hon Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah inducted Mr. Alex Baidoo into office and commended the assembly members for confirming the president’s nominee.
He cautioned the DEC to avoid acts of bribery and corruption and protect the public purse.
