St. Andrews Senior High School has emerged as the winner of the Cocobod Chocolate Day Quiz.

The Ghana Cocobod Western South Region has organized a quiz competition on this year’s Chocolate day which fell on Wednesday 14th February 2024. The quiz Competition which was held in the studio’s of denkyiraman radio had four Senior High School’s both private and public within Dunkwa township participating in the contest which was centered on the cocoa industry related questions.

Mr. Prempeh, the administrator for the Cocobod Western South Region which has it head office at Dunkwa on Offin in an interview with denkyiraman radio said that, Ex President John Agyekum Kuffuor made an official declaration of making Valentine’s Day in Ghana, a Chocolate day as part of promoting the support system of the country. Due to this the Ghana Cocobod made it their mission to create productive, educational and entertaining activities during Valentine Day to help reduce inappropriate activities that goes on in some parts of the country on every14th February.

Boa- Amponsem Senior High School, Oxford senior high school, St. Andrew’s senior high and Dunkwa senior technical school, were schools that participated in the quiz.

After a hard crack back and forth between the contestants,
St. Andrews senior high school came up first while Oxford senior high school placed second, Boa- Amponsem SHS was third and Dunkwa senior high made the fourth position.

By kind courtesy of Ghana Cocobod, St. Andrews senior high school was given a cash price of Three thousand Ghana Cedi (GHC3,000.00 ) with some cocoa products.

The school that came second Oxford SHS, received a cash price of two thousand five hundred cedi (GHC2,500.00), with some cocoa products.

Boa-Amponsem SHS which came third, received a cash price of Two thousand cedi (GHc 2,000.00 ) with some cocoa products.

Dunkwa Senior High Technical School received a cash price of One thousand cedi (GHC1,000.00) with some cocoa products for placing forth.

The teachers of the various schools received the prizes in honor of their respective students and schools.
