The confirmed presiding member for Upper Denkyira East Municipal Assembly in the Central Region, also the Assembly Member for Dunkwa Atechem electoral area, Hon Akwasi Owusu Antwi has promised to work tirelessly to uplift the assembly in the region.
Mr Akwasi Owusu Antwi who got a hundred percent endorsement from his colleague assembly members and the government appointees vowed to exhibit his vibrant experience to drive the assembly to a different level.
The massive confirmation makes him the three consecutive times of being a Presiding Member for the Municipality.
Addressing the gathering after swearing in by the Municipal Director of the electoral commission, Mr Kyire, the Atechem assembly member appealed for the corporation of his colleague members to drive the assembly into the next gear of development as one of their major ambitions is to give the Dunkwa lorry station a facelift.
The lorry station has been in deplorable state over years which deeply discredit the Municipality.
The Upper Denkyira East Municipal Assembly held their Inauguration on Monday as stipulated by the local government ministry.
The event took place at the municipal assembly hall Dunkwa Abankesieso.
The programme was Grace by many dignitaries including the Chief of Dunkwa, Dr Okoforobuor Obeng Nuako III, and the deputy Local government minister, Hon Collins Augustine Ntim, other assembly members and the government appointees also assured their presiding members of their readiness for development in the Municipality.
