Upper Denkyira East MCE, Hon. Ebenezer Appiah Forson, Unveils New DRIP Machinery for Road Projects in Dunkwa On-Offin.

Municipal Chief Executive for the Upper Denkyira East Municipal, Hon. Ebenezer Appiah Forson,on Friday 30th August, 2024 unveiled the new the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) machines handed out to the Assembly by the Government, for the good people of Dunkwa On-Offin and its environs.

Launched last month by President Akufo-Addo, DRIP aims to expand road network coverage, increase accessibility, enhance mobility, and improve economic activities at the local level.

The Municipality in all received 6 pieces of equipment, including tipper trucks, motor grader, concrete mixers, backhoes, rollers, grader, and water tankers, which were driven through the principal streets of Dunkwa On-Offin as the general public cheered and praised the Government for the initiative.

Hon. Ebenezer Forson addressing the public, Nananom, media and party leaders who gathered to officially outdoor the new Machines said Government has so far constructed 10.6 kilometers of Roads in the Dunkwa township alone.

However, the government has realized that there’re more roads to be constructed, thus his District Road Improvement Program (DRIP) to ensure smooth operations of contractors and speedily implementation.

He also said the government has provided Engineers to provide technical assistance to how the machines will be used.

He assured the public that the equipment would be utilised effectively and deployed immediately to the various Communities to begin roadwork without delay

The Municipal Chief Executive expressed his satisfaction and gratitude to the government and all who were present at the official outdoor of the Machines which included a back hole,Water Tanker, Roller, a grader and Tipper Truck.

The program was attended by some traditional leaders and representatives from the Assembly to coordinate the process and official duties.

Nana Kwame Kumah III, the Mmradanhene who represented the Traditional Council also cautioned the people and the leaders in charge of the Machines to desist from using them for the wrong purposes.

He commended the government and asked that the people of Upper Denkyira East votes for the NPP to give them another term in office to do more.

“We are not into politics but we commend good governance and Nana Addo together with his leadership have done a wondrous job and needs to be given room to do more, Upper Denkyira East shouldn’t forget to vote Dr. Festus Awuah Kwoffie and Dr. Bawumia”, he added.
