Member of Parliament for the Upper Denkyira East Constituency, also Minister for Employment and Labor Relations, Dr. Festus Awuah Kwoffie has added a voice to the Nationwide Strike declared by the Civil and Local Government staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) on Wednesday,July 3.
The CLOGSAG strike took effect with workers abandoning their respective offices at bar departments in compliance to the declaration.
The Upper Denkyira East Municipal Assembly was not exempted from this strike as all pens were down to observe the strike.
However, Hon. Dr. Awuah Kwoffie in joint with Chief Justice on Denkyiraman Radio’s morning show, explained that massive discussions are ongoing with regard to the displeasure and concerns raised by the Local Government staff Association.
Dr Festus also noted that the government is hopeful that the needed changes will be made soon enough to bring back the various Assemblies to the course.
