Fire destroys shops at Dunkwa

Heavy rainfall followed by a torrential storm at Dunkwa On-Offin, wreaked havoc as it triggered a wildfire outburst causing the burn of a forty feet container.

A report from the Denkyiraman Radio News team has it that the shop which is a photo studio and repair shop contained computers and accessories which have been burnt to ashes.

The cause of the fire is yet to be known according to the Ghana National Fire Service.

Meanwhile, the owner of the shop blamed it on the power outage which occurred amidst the rainfall.

However, DO3 Frederick Gyimah, the GNFS boss in Dunkwa, Upper Denkyira East municipality advised the general public to always put off electrical appliances and gadgets when there is a power cut to avoid fire passing through them with the tension it comes with and electrocution.
