The Krontihene of Denkyira Traditional Area, Dr Odiamono Ntire Twum-Barima II, has called on Assembly members in the Upper Denkyira East Municipal to work hard to bring back the dignity of the municipality.
Addressing the Assembly on Monday Feb. 12th 2024, during the inauguration of the newly elected Assembly members, he asserted the assembly in recent times has lost its credibility due to some disunity and legal issues which even resulted in the lost of some assembly vehicles.
According to him, this consistent brouhaha had dragged the assembly backward in both developmental programs and finances.
Dr. Odiamono Ntiri Twum-Barima II, further pleaded with the honorable members to unite and bring back the lost dignity and developments.
“There is one thing you need to have in mind, we are all natives of Denkyira therefore raising the flag of Denkyira high should be our key interest”, he added.
Again he advised the old assembly members who have been re-elected again to embrace the new ones with all their knowledge and experiences in order to fulfill all their aspirations.
He noted that there was and will be people before and after to take up their positions being occupied now, so there is no need for discrimination against each other, being stingy with ideas and boycotting good decisions.
Nana Ntiri Twum Barima finally promised to mention the Assembly in all their prayers, to give them strength in all their endeavours.
