The Member of Parliament(MP) for Upper Denkyira East Constituency, Hon. Festus Awuah Kwofie, The nomination came in today 14th February 2024 as the Law maker’s name was announced amongst other nominees in Parliament by the Speaker.
In political history, this is the second time the constituency has been honored with a ministerial appointment.
The late Charles Omar Nyanor, former Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira, was a Deputy minister 1969 to1972 under Busia’s government and minister of state between 2001 to 2004 under former president J.A. kuffour.
In an exclusive interview with CJ on National agenda, he promised to utilize his office to the benefit of the constituency and the Ghana at large when sworn in to office.
Hon. Dr. Awuah seized the opportunity to say thank you to his constituents who supported him to get this far.
