The Denkyira traditional council on Friday, 26th January 2024 met at the Odeefuo Boa Amponsem III palace at Abankesieso in Dunkwa On-Offin to deliberate on how the traditional council can improve their ways in education, and road network and to create a “Denkyira Research Center” to serve a historic purpose.
Nananom also discussed who would succeed the late Odeefuo Boa Amponsem III. The Denkyira kontihene, Dr. Odiamono Ntiri Twum Barima ll, on behalf of the council in an interview with Denkyiraman Radio’s “National Agenda” with CJ said the chiefs and leaders of Denkyira will henceforth be particular and monitor all the road contractors who are responsible for construction within the denkyira enclave. He said every contractor will appear before the council and be properly assessed and questioned on what will be required for a good job done, before commencing their work with their supervision.
Dr Odiamono Ntiri Twum Barima II continued that a trust fund would be provided for brilliant yet needy children to be able to pass through a safe and sound education system.
Lastly, he said that measures are in place to enstool a new paramount chief for Denkyira.
