The New patriotic party’s director of elections research, in the Upper Denkyira East constituency Mr. George Osei Nyarko has explained and given some insight on the popular acclamation to be held for Hon. Dr. Festus Awuah kwofie, in the upper Denkyira constituency.
The extraordinary delegate’s conference is constituted by all the constituency executives, all electoral area coordinators, all polling station executives, five members of the constituency council of elders, five patrons.
Not long ago the process of choosing parliamentary candidates began and most candidates who contested were voted for as delegates selected whom the see fit to represent the party in the coming general elections.
Meanwhile, in the upper Denkyira east constituency no candidate contested Hon. Dr. Festus Awuah kwoffie, the incumbent lawmaker therefore he goes unopposed. George Osei Nyarko explained that a conference will be held based on Article 7(31) of the party’s constitution which permits the party executives, elders and delegates to hold a conference to declare their candidate as unopposed for the general elections 2024 to continue with his good work and governance in the constituency.
He also said constituencies in the Northern region like, Karaga, Tolon, Bimbila, Gushegu and Tatale also held conferences to declare their candidates as unopposed for the New Patriotic Party .
Therefore what will happen in the Upper Denkyira East tomorrow will be no different.Mr. George Osei Nyarko crowned it by stating the venue for the conference will be the Dunkwa Roman Parish Hall.
