Two young girls believed to be cousins namely; Mansa and Obaa Yaa, have met their untimely demise as heat took their breath in a damaged KIA RIO. This sad event took place on the 22nd January 2024,Monday, at Wassa – Akoreso in the Wassa Saa electoral area in Amenfi East Municipality of Western Region.
Hon. Akwasi Oduro, the Assembly Member in the electoral area, in an interview with Denkyiraman News, said the children who went inside the damaged car which has been stationed in the area for years, were stuck inside and gasped for air but all efforts proved futile. The parents upon returning from their endeavors searched for the girls and later found them dead in the car.
After police investigation , the owner of the damaged car has been invited for questioning.
Both children have been buried.
