Man reminded in police custody for allegedly killing his wife at Dunkwa on offin

A young lady identified as Suzzy Mensah aka Tawiah has been allegedly butchered by her husband called Joseph Quansin also affectionately called Ato, at Dunkwa Mfuom in the Upper Denkyira East municipal on the 9th of February 2024.
In an exclusive interview with Denkyiraman Radio online, an eyewitness who is a neighbor of the deceased and her husband revealed that she saw the couple that fateful morning and greeted them and nothing showed the two had an altercation.
Aside that she claimed she never heard them fight before and so was amazed to have seen the man acted in that manner.
In update to this unfortunate incident, the accused was taken to court today 12th January 2024. The suspect who appeared before the Dunkwa magistrate presideded over by his worship Frank Asiedu Nimako. The accused in a confession statement in court claimed allegedly that he did commit the murder though but later realized he was mentally deranged.
He also said his wife was on the verge of packing the belongings of their son who died on 31st December 2023 because the wife claimed to be frightened by it.
Joseph aka Ato upon seeing that , approached his deceased wife and asked her to stop which escalated into a heated argument that led to the killing of the wife.
Although rumors have been circulating that the suspect is mentally unstable, close relatives and health professionals haven’t confirmed it yet.
After the proceeding at the hearing, his lordship Frank Nimako adjourned the case to 26th of January 2024.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s family speaking with Denkyiraman Radio online said they believe and have hope in getting justice for their victim.
