The First Saturday of every month is earmarked for National Sanitation Day in Ghana, due to this, most communities across the nation converge in their municipalities and districts to organize cleanup activities. This was not different in the Upper Denkyira East municipality, as the Municipal Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Ebenezer Appiah Forson also conveyed his people in the various electoral areas to clean choked gutters, sweep specks of dirt on the streets and ensure a clean environment in the municipality.
The exercise was led by Hon. Ebenezer Forson himself with Zoomlion workers making sure all refuse was dumped at an appropriate place as well as some security personnel like fire service and immigration in the municipality also ensuring the safety of vehicles on the road and order amongst the residents.
The MCE Hon. Ebenezer Appiah Forson in an interview with Denkyiraman Radio, commended people from the electoral areas and the environmental agencies including security departments who took the time to help in the clean-up exercise, also thanked them for the good work done and urged those who could not participate to do well next time to help with the development of the town.
