The Municipal Chief Executive for Wassa Amenfi East, Hon. Frederick Korankye on Friday, October 13, 2023, Commissioned 3 unit classroom block at Appiah Nkwanta, a community within Dekoto Junction Electoral Area in Amenfi East Municipality.
Addressing the mini durbar, Hon. Frederick Korankye first and foremost thanked Eliho Cocoa Buying Company for funding the project and also appealed to Eliho Cocoa Buying Company to bring more projects and livelihood programmes for the people of Appiah Nkwanta community and Amenfi East at large.
Eliho Ghana, in collaboration with Touton SA, operates a comprehensive model through Rural Service Centres (RSCs) to render seven main services that comprise certification, access to inputs; cocoa rehabilitation; access to finance; productivity intensification support; food and security, community development and forest protection services.
Hon. Frederick Korankye appealed to residents of the Appiah Nkwanta community to take good care of the project by adopting a comprehensive maintenance culture for the sustainability of the project.
Hon. Frederick Korankye urged pupils in the Appiah-Nkwanta community to concentrate on their education to take full advantage government’s free senior high school programme.
Hon. Frederick Korankye was accompanied by Mr. Micheal Gimah of Eliho Cocoa Buying Company, Mr Joseph Amoase- Director of Education Amenfi East & Mr Eric Ackah- Dawurapong Circuit supervisor.
