The Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira East Constituency, Hon Dr. Festus Awuah Kwofie, has cut sod for the construction of a modern community centre for the good people of Dunkwa Barrier.
The project which happens to be a first of its kind in the community is expected to bring development to the people in the area and improve the livelihood of the people.
The community centre will purposely serve for events and community engagement when completed.
The Member of Parliament (MP) Hon. Festus Awuah Kwoffie after the sod cutting indicated that he is poised to develop the community with his resources.
“We are proud to have started a project here to continue our growth. l am determined to Complete this project in 9 months”, he stated.
According to him, the community project is a modernized complex structure which will serve many purposes to the people of Barrier. He added that the community centre is going to have a stand, a concrete platform and a great place for the Social gathering.
On his part, the Chief of Dunkwa Barrier who also Doubles as the Wirempemhene of Dunkwa, Nana Kwabena Danso, expressed his gratitude to the member of parliament for upper Denkyira East constituency, Hon. Festus Awuah Kwofie, for the paradigm shift and development under his reign. He urged residents of Barrier to support the project.
The MP also donated six LED Street bulbs for the people of Barrier for Curbing Darkness at night to get rid of Social vices.
Meanwhile, Residents of Barrier have also expressed their profound gladness about the project.
