The body of a Six (6) year boy has been retrieved from an uncovered septic tank belonging to St. Andrews Senior High School at Compound in the upper Denkyira East municipal after he got messing.
Reports gathered by Denkyiraman radio. Com indicates that the boy went missing on Friday 22nd September 2023 around 6:30 pm.
The Assembly member for Compound Electoral area, Hon. Edmond Johnson, said the mother of the boy is a cassava seller whilst the father is a taxi driver.
According to him, little Nyamekye was last seen playing with his brother and some other friends from the vicinity on the evening of Friday 22 September 2023.
Unknowing his parents, Little Nyamekye and his friends went to the Campus of St. Andrews SHS, Campus to continue with their play because the school had vacated, the presence of the kids was not noticed immediately, until after the security man saw the children playing around and started chasing them which made them away thereby scattering them in the process.
Residents searched everywhere but couldn’t find little Nyamelye until this morning when the elder brother of the deceased informed his parents that they entered the compound of St Andrews SHS to play yesterday.
According to the Assembly member, a search was conducted at the campus of St Andrews SHS and unfortunately found the lifeless body of Little Nyamekye in an uncovered septic tank on Saturday morning.
The boy has been deposited at the Dunkwa Municipal Hospital morgue
